Structural Engineer (F/M)

Mission
As a Structural Engineer, you are relied upon as the expert in the design of the PV module mounting structures, including fixed-tilt structures, trackers, as well as structural systems for C&I rooftops, carports and greenhouses applications.
You are thus collaborating with the Company development and construction teams, as well as with external parties including manufacturers, vendors, and contractors, by supplying essential engineering information on these areas of expertise.
Your responsibilities include establishing various technical documents for these structural systems and their ongoing revision and enhancement to ensure the alignment of Amarenco’s structural engineering practices with industry and renewable energy market standards.
You also promote ongoing improvements in designs and engineering methodology and evaluate new technologies and designs for projects’ cost and LCOE optimisation purposes.
- Undertake to know and respect the safety rules in force in the workplace,
- Assist Company construction and development teams on structural engineering topics,
- Prepare clear and concise technical documentation, including functional specifications, detailed design specifications, white papers, calculation notes, reports, etc.
- Collaborate with vendors and manufacturers to specify PV structural systems in conjunction with the Procurement department,
- Review the design and evaluate the calculation notes submitted by the vendors and manufacturers and ensure alignment with the company requirements,
- Carry out (or review) technical due diligences and risk assessment studies,
- Work and engage with external consultants, manufacturers, suppliers, EPC, investors' technical advisors, etc. to support structural engineering activities,
- Support the evaluation of new products and technologies from vendors and manufacturers,
- Promote standardization of PV module mounting systems in a supply and installation costs reduction prospective.
Profil
The ideal candidate is a structural engineer passionate about renewable energy, with 5+ years of experience in the photovoltaic sector. They have strong technical expertise in static and dynamic load calculations, geotechnical and hydrological studies, and are proficient in Eurocodes and specialized software (Autodesk Robot, CIVIL3D). Process-oriented and highly organized, they can manage multiple projects in parallel while adapting to shifting priorities. With excellent communication and collaboration skills, they thrive in international and multidisciplinary environments. Additionally, they can translate engineering challenges into financial assumptions (CAPEX, OPEX, LCOE) and are fluent in English.
